Crinum Quick Facts

Crinum lilies have great big underground bulbs, long strap-like leaves and Spring, Summer or Fall flowers that look sort of like Christmas Amaryllis
Crinums lilies thrive in climates with long, hot summers, where the ground does not freeze very deeply. They’re best in USDA zones 7 and warmer, but many adventurous gardeners in Zone 6 grow them for the challenge.
Crinums prefer 5 or more hours of sun every day, normal water and garden soil.
(Except the rare shade lovers! - which we only offer as seasonal specials.)
Crinum lilies can be grown in containers.
Crinum lilies take a year or two to settle in to their spot in the garden. They are best after 3 years and spectacular after 5!
